Cape Buller to Cape Constance
This
bay is 1 mile W of Cape Buller. Along this stretch of coastline
there are many Black-browed albatross nesting in the high tussac-covered cliffs.
We anchored in the NW part of the bay, to get out of the worst
of the swell, in 13m, in a small patch clear of the extensive kelp.
There was shelter from the N through W to S.
When we visited, there
was too much swell to land, but there are several beaches where
landing should be possible. We found this to be rather a gloomy
anchorage.
